GenieGO PC app download

· So, I thought I'd go to the GenieGo app. It installed fine and sees my receiver and lists shows. All fine and dandy I thought. My powerline network connection to the receiver says it's at Mbps. The DirecTv2PC program streamed HD fine with this rate. With GenieGo all I get on the download to my PC is crappy SD video. DIRECTV customers can download the free DIRECTV app to watch TV on a smartphone, tablet, connected devices like Roku or Chromecast and various Smart TVs. The list continues to grow and far exceeds what the DIRECTV GenieGo could originally offer, so consider reaching out if your device-in-question isn’t yet listed above.

Issue 1: My PC app (legacy GenieGo) can download from HR44, but all programs are in standard definition (SD). Obviously, the original recording is in high def (HD). Any way to download HD? Issue 2: DirecTV saw fit to update the app on my Android phone. I was not at home, and thus was forced to wait until I returned home to activate. Set your GenieGO to prepare shows for download while you're away. They'll be ready to download when you get home. Access up to 20 hours of recorded programming on your computer or mobile device at a given time. An external hard drive (not included) can be connected to your DIRECTV GenieGO for additional hours of programming. Download Oculus software on your PC to setup Oculus Rift and explore the best VR apps and more. If you have Rift + Touch, you can also set up your hardware.

I'm running GenieGO for PC on a Dell Venue Pro 8 and the experience is very good (not as touch friendly as I would like, but maybe we'll get a true Win8 "modern" app one of these days). Since the DVP8 is only a gig model I have an extra gig microSD card for additional storage. So, I thought I'd go to the GenieGo app. It installed fine and sees my receiver and lists shows.
